Dr. Al Bastaki holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of North Texas, USA.  He has over 20 years’ experience of working in the Kingdom of Bahrain and North America.  He was Secretary General of the Bahrain Centre of Studies and Research.  His private sector experience includes senior management and specialist position with one of the International auditing firms. 

In the academic world, Dr. Al Bastaki is an Arbitrator and Expert at the Bahrain-based GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre and was appointed by a Royal Decree ad a member in the Bahrain Tender Board for the period from 2003 to 2007.
