Mr. Hussain Ismail
Deputy Director, BIBF


Hussain Ismail received his MBA in General Management from the University of Durham, UK.  He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, UK.

He started his working career with Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA) in 1971 and spent eleven years in various positions within the company.  His last position was Production Superintendent.

Towards the end of 1981 Hussain changed careers and switched to banking.  He held various managerial positions in Operations, Marketing and Administration with four banks before joining the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) in 1988.

Hussain is currently the Deputy Director at the BIBF.  His responsibilities include the promotion, development and direction of a planned programme of course offerings in professional education to meet the training and development needs of banks, financial institutions and other major organisations.

Hussain is a member of the following professional bodies :
