Mr. Norhiko Kato
Regional Head for the Middle
East and General Manager, Bahrain Branch of The Bank of
Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd.
Mr.
Kato has been the Regional Head for the Middle East and General
Manager, Bahrain Branch of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ,
Ltd. since September 2006. He is responsible for the Bank’s
corporate banking business in the whole Middle Eastern region.
Mr. Kato served as Managing Director and Deputy General Manager
of the Bank’s Dutch subsidiary bank, The Bank of
Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Holland) N.V., in Amsterdam prior to the
current position.
Mr. Kato joined The
Bank of Tokyo, Ltd. in 1981 and took various positions in the Bank
in corporate banking, human resources, strategic business planning,
operations planning, and subsidiary management. He has working
experience at the Bank in Tokyo, New York, and Amsterdam in addition
to Bahrain.
Mr. Kato has
Bachelors Degree in Economics from The University of Tokyo (1981)
and Master of Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School of
Management (1988).
He is also a member
of the Executive Committee of Bankers Society in Bahrain.
